In Bleach there many items that are seen, with many of them being aids to Shinigamis in some way. Below are some of the items that can be found in the Bleach series.

Sanre Gloves Gloves that were developed by the Quicys. After spending 7 days and 7 nights, a quincy will reach the bare limits of his powers. The one rule to this is to never take off the gloves, unless in a very tight situation where the most likely outcome is death. When they take off the gloves they will break the limits of their strength and gain a very large power boost, where their arrows will desintegrate within the area outside and inside the limited aura. After this the quincy will lose all of their power, however there is a process that will restore a quincy's power. |

Zanpaktou Most basic of the basic tools of the shinigami. The extension of the shinigami's soul, it is a materialized form of reiatsu of the soul. Normally if have basic control of reiatsu, you can control the size of the zanpaktou. The zanpaktou shoes the inner alter ego of the soul. The zanpaktou's soul teaches the shinigami how to use it's basic control. The first realease or "shikai" is activated by the name of the zanpaktou. Normally the voice of the zanpaktou tells the shinigami who he/she is. When the shinigami reaches a certain stage of power, the zanpaktou soul begins teaching the shinigami, the ritual to bankai. When the shinigami finally learns how to use bankai correctly, the zanpaktou tells the shinigami it's full name. Only at very dire moments are shinigami's allowed to use bankai. After reaching bankai, mastery takes about a 100 years. Bankai are one of the few things shinigami's need to qualify for Captain level, however there is one and only one person in the history of soul society who has achived captain level without even knowing the name of it's zanpaktou and that is Zaraki Kenpachi. Zanpaktou's are assorted by the 2 main types of arts in soul society, which are kidou (demon arts), and hakuda (melee arts). All zanpaktou's have different atribute, and not 1 zanpaktou is the same. (with the exception of dual zanpaktous of course :P) |
