About the Author: Kubo Tite
Kubo
Tite was born June 26, 1977. He started drawing manga when he was in high
school, where he wrote his first manga, Zombie Powder. It had 27 chapters
published, compiled into four volumes. Later in his career, Kubo created a new
manga, called Bleach, and submitted it to the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in
hopes of having it published. To his dismay, Bleach was rejected from because of
its similarities to another manga in the magazine, YuYu Hakusho. Kubo was
disheartened by the rejection, but soon this all changed when Akira Toriyama,
the legendary creator of Dragon Ball, sent him a letter of reassurance and
inspiration. Kubo was inspired, and was than eventually able to have Bleach
published in Shonen Jump, and has has hundreds of chapters published. His manga
was so popular that it was made into an anime! It has over 90 episodes in just
two years since the anime was created as Bleach is one of the most popular anime
around the world today.
