About the Author

Born in the Okayama Prefecture in 1974, Masashi Kishimoto, has
accomplished and achieved many things. His professional career started when he submitted
a manga he created to Shueisha, titled it "Karakuri". This magnificent
piece of work earned him the Hop Step Award and a chance to have a manga published in
the very famous Shonen Jump! Soon afterwards he released a manga about a boy
with dreams of becoming the best ninja in his village, Naruto! It was published in 1997, and
was a huge success. Through his childhood he was a big fan of Akira Toriyama,
the creator of the famous Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z and soon became a fan of
Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of Akira. Today Masashi Kishimoto lives in his
home comfortably, as he has achieved his dreams of becoming a famous
mangaka.
